Project Overview

Goals:

  • To learn more about the City of Providence, its history, and factors that have contributed to making it the city that it is today.
  • To understand, analyze, and apply data to support an idea or position.
  • To develop cartographic skills to communicate effectively with maps.

Expectations:

Working independantly and in groups, students will learn and apply GIS skills to develop poster presentations for the Policy Forum on December 12. There are six project themes, with two groups assigned to each theme. Each group will make an oral presentation of their poster in support or opposition to their theme's resoultion.
