Newseum

4/30: Added extra sessions this week in preparation of the Blue Team forum. The forum will be held Friday May 4 at the URI Memorial Union Ballroom, 50 Lower College Rd, Kingston, RI 02881. (get directions)

Also look for updates on Activity Analysis and Safety Perceptions Mapping, as well as student work from the World Regions- Brasil, China, Ethiopia, Mesoamerica, United States, and West Africa.

4/17: While the students are on Spring Break, we are in the office coding up the Blue Team's Safety Perceptions maps. Only a few weeks left until the URI presentations. In Red Team news, two students' maps were included in the [Re:]viewing the City exhibit of the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). The maps will be on display through May. Also check out the students' Super Duper Water Barrels, just in time for spring gardening!

3/6:
Kicked off the 8-week Blue Team TATE program. "TATE" stands for Teen Activity Transportation Enterprise. These are the folks we are working with from URI. Next week we will start the Activity Patterns Mapping. Afterschool program extended for three weeks until the Red Team Museum Presentations, in the first week of April.

1/30: Afterschool GIS program underway, running in Mr. Gormley's room Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15-4:45. This is the place for Red Team to work on maps for the world regions and the museum, and for Blue Team to get a head start using GIS. Website and schedule updated for Spring semester. Check out Feinstein student work featured as Map of the Month on the Providence Plan website!

12/14: Check out some Press Coverage from the Providence Journal.

12/13: Yesterday was the Policy Forum at URI. We did it! View some of the students' maps/posters, located in the project pages. Check back soon for some info/data on mapping your world regions.

11/30: Most of you have chosen your individual map topics. Check on each group's page to see what everyone has signed up to do. Those of you who still need to pick topics talk to Annalise as soon as possible!!

11/27: Added a universal Data Lookup Table as well as information on student projects and final map ideas.

11/15: Things are moving along, and it looks like we get two more sessions together. Tuesday and Wednesday November 28th and 29th... look out!

11/14: Added Expectations for the Final. We have two GIS classes left together. Let us know how we're doing. Check out your project page, as we are adding more links and information. Check out the Demographic Scavenger Hunt. Take a minute to print and complete the Immigration & Ethnicity Survey!

11/10: Congratulations goes to the Red Team for good attendance!

11/2: Added Aerial Photos, and Safety Perceptions pages!

10/31: Website go-live!
